Rain or shine, the Santa Barbara Zoo is open everyday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for Christmas day. Founded by a group of volunteers in 1963, the Santa Barbara Zoo delights visitors to Santa Barbara, California, with its beautiful surrounding gardens and views of the Pacific Ocean. Animal residents include penguins, flamingos, African lions, and Baringo giraffes. Note that children under the age of two always receive free admission
to the Zoo.
